Sign up a team for the village cricket league
Cricket: Next month, the Village Cricket League begins its League programme with sixteen teams organised in two divisions.
Now in its twenty-seventh year, the league welcomes two new teams - Wickwar and Coalpit Heath - to its ranks for the new season.
The league plays its forty-over games on a Sunday and is committed to the spirit of village cricket'. It currently involves teams from the South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire area. and such is the demand, it may wish to introduce a third division in 2009.
The Village League also arranges a mid week Knockout Twenty 20 Competition for its members.
Current Membership:-
DIVISION ONE - Biddestone, Corsham, Hambrook, Hawkesbury Upton, Pucklechurch, Sutton Benger, Thornbury and Westerleigh.
DIVISION TWO - Badminton, Biddestone, Charfield, Chipping Sodbury, Coalpit Heath, Grittleton, Lydiard Millicent and Wickwar.
