This Friday, March 7 is National Doodle day, and there is still time to enter your doodle into the national contest.

Individual entry cards can be obtained at Lloydspharmacy throughout March for a £1 donation. All doodles will be submitted into a national competition to be judged by the Doodle Day patron, actor and author, Maureen Lipman, and certificates will be awarded. Lloydspharmacy is also providing £1,000 in cash prizes for the lucky winners.

All winners will have their work displayed in the Hall of Fame on the National Doodle Day website. Closing date for entries is Monday, March 31 2007.

Hundreds of celebrities have already entered their doodles including: Dame Helen Mirren, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ricky Gervais, Alan Titchmarsh, Gemma Atkinson, Margaret Atwood, Sally Gunnell and Joanna Lumley.

If you are not feeling very artistic then you can still get involved by voting for their favourite celebrity doodle, by texting the word DOODLE followed by the unique ID number found on the National Doodle Day website to 80039. Texts cost £1.50 in addition to the normal rate. Alternatively, you can bid to buy your favourite doodle on eBay from March 7 by logging on to: www.nationaldoodleday.org.uk
