A Chippenham man is to face trial by jury after pleading not guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Ross Belt, of Woodlands Road, is said to have assaulted Carl Mallinson on Thursday, June 12.
The 21-year-old pleaded not guilty to the allegation when he appeared before a judge at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
He was released on conditional bail to Monday, December 15 when he is due to stand trial on the charge.
