New occupants offering “vital” services have taken over a Grade II listed building in a Wiltshire Market Place.
Chippenham Borough Lands Charity (CBLC), a grant-giving organisation, has announced Wiltshire Citizens Advice has moved into the Jubilee Building in the Market Place.
Citizens Advice will be occupying part of the building on a rent-free basis and other complementary charities like Victim Support will share the building, paying only utilities and upkeep costs.
They will also manage the historic building while utilising its convenient central location to provide free, confidential advice on issues such as debt, housing, benefits, employment, and more.
"This generous support from Chippenham Borough Lands Charity allows us to reallocate resources traditionally spent on rent towards bolstering our advice services," said Suzanne Wigmore, CEO of Wiltshire Citizens Advice.
“We are excited to move into our new home and continue providing vital guidance on critical issues without disruption.”
CBLC hopes the move will facilitate increased collaboration and service delivery among organisations dedicated to assisting Chippenham residents.
CEO Beth Gardner added: "We are thrilled to offer Wiltshire Citizens Advice and allied groups a central hub from which to operate.
"Aligning our resources enables these vital organisations to direct more funding towards their programmes and expand their positive local impact.
“Chippenham residents will greatly benefit from having these services."
